about

Hello,

I'm Rachel, a Conservation-Technician.

My interest in cultural heritage has grown over the years. I grew up in Malta, surrounded by tradition, right from the day of my Baptism during the St. Paul festivities.

I am committed to preserving our past, as through collective curiosity, we are able to shape a sustainable future. Let's connect and find exciting new paths together!

my approach

My work often extends into collaborative and educational settings — exhibitions, pigment workshops, and creative exchanges that bring people closer to the making process. I enjoy sharing what I learn, fostering curiosity, and building bridges between disciplines. For me, conservation is not only about preserving objects, but also about sustaining the dialogue between culture, community, and creativity.

Beyond the Studio

I see restoration and art as two sides of the same process — both require patience, observation, and respect for materials. Whether I’m reconstructing a detail from centuries past or experimenting with pigments in the studio, my goal is to keep stories alive through texture, color, and craft. Each project becomes a conversation between tradition and contemporary sensibility.
